Uncle Avraham was born in 1908, in Thessaloniki, Greece, to Bulisa and Haim Sarfati. He had four brothers (Aaron, Pol, Giom and Itzhak) and three sisters (Alegra, Tzila and Ester).

He immigrated to Eretz-Israel before the foundation of State of Israel.

In 1953, he travelled to Istanbul, Turkey. There he met Aunt Regina Gambash and married her. The marriage took place at the Zulfaris Synagogue in Karaköy, Istanbul. After the wedding, Aunt Regina made Aliyah to Israel. They settled, first in Tel Aviv and afterwards in Holon‏.

They had no children.

Uncle Avraham had a small shop for fresh fish in Jaffa, Tel Aviv, the shop was not far from the famous clock tower.

Uncle Avraham passed away in Bat-Yam on February 13, 1997. His grave is in Holon cemetery.
